A chiropractic adjustment is defined as a high velocity low amplitude thrust. The adjustment is delivered to restricted joints in the spine or peripheral joints and is often accompanied by an audible pop or click. This is called a cavitation and is just the release of gas (in the form of a bubble) in the joint being adjusted.
Adjustments will help to improve range of motion of the joint as well improve proprioception. Proprioception is the sixth sense and is your body’s ability to sense position and movement of the joints.
